She has attended special training courses in applied fish reproductive biology, otolith microstructure analysis of small pelagic fish larvae and juvenile. She has also received extended training in advanced methods of fish reproductive biology (e.g. autodiametric method, stereology, oocyte packing density theory) during a three-month visit at the Institute of Marine Research, Bergen, Norway in 2009.

She has research interests on fish biology and ecology with focus on small pelagic fish, fish growth and reproduction, reproductive ecology of small pelagic fish

She has participated in 10 national and international projects.

She has contributed 6 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 1 book chapter, as well as more than 15 other publications (i.e., conference proceedings, special publications, newspaper and magazines) and co-authored 2 technical reports.
