Short CV

  • BSc in Biology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece (2000-2006),
  • MSc in Biodiversity Conservation, joint diploma between University of the Aegean, Greece and University of Montpellier 2, France (2008-2010),
  • PhD in Biodiversity and Productivity in Aquatic Metacommunities, Department of Marine Sciences, University of the Aegean, Greece (2010-2014)

During 2014-1015, she has held a position as a research associate in the Department of Marine Sciences, University of the Aegean. She has been collaborating with IMBRIW since 2015.

Her research interests include the study of mechanisms that influence the structure and function of microalgae assemblages across local and regional scales in freshwater and marine systems, focusing on species traits and variation in environmental conditions (nutrients, water availability, dispersal). She has participated in 6 national and international projects. She has served as a reviewer in 5 international journals.

She has contributed 8 papers in peer-reviewed journals, as well as more than 12 other publications (i.e. conference proceedings, special publications, newspaper and magazine articles) and co-authored more than 10 technical reports.
