Mr Nektarios Kalaitzakis received his BSc in Environmental Science (9.31/10) in 2014 from University of the Aegean in Mytilene, Lesvos. Though since 2013 he participated in research projects of the Institute of Inland Waters in HCMR.
His work included fieldwork in various rivers of the Greek territory. At the same time he authored his dissertation in collaboration with the Institute of Inland Waters developing an ichthyofaunal based ecological index of riverine waters quality which was being fully compatible with the 2000/60/EC directive guidelines.
After 2015 he contributed in various research projects of the Institute of Inland Waters in HCMR by mainly contacting statistical and geospatial analysis while also authoring for the reporting needs of the research programs. Since 2017 he is studying at the Athens University of Economics and Business for his MSc degree in Statistics.
Since January 2018 he is participating, as a member of the Ichthyologists team, in the YMEPERAA program implemented by the Institute of Inland Waters in HCMR.
