From 2012 to 2016, she served as Scientific Coordinator of the Freshwater Fish Aquarium of the Municipality of Kastoria. From October 2016 to August 2017, she worked as Local Communication Officer at the NGO Society for the Protection of Prespa. Since January 2018, she has been employed at the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR), at the Institute of Marine Biological Resources and Inland Waters, as an Ichthyologist, contributing initially to the YMEPERAA–WFD programme and subsequently to the PEKA–WFD programme.
Her research interests focus on the investigation of riverine ecosystem hydromorphology and the assessment of anthropogenic pressures and alterations, with particular emphasis on the application of modern remote sensing methodologies using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for the mapping and monitoring of river systems. In addition, she is involved in the design and implementation of sociological surveys targeting populations and users of protected areas, addressing issues related to the management and conservation of aquatic ecosystems.
