Her research interests include (i) the ecological quality assessment of surface waters with the use of chemical, hydromorphological and biological indices, (ii) sampling, taxonomy and ecology of benthic macroinvertebrates and diatoms.

She has also worked as a Field Instructor in Environmental Education at Terra Cypria.

She has contributed in several technical reports for the implementation of the Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EU.
