Maria Drosi is a Fisheries Scientist and Research Assistant at the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR). Maria Drosi is a Fisheries Scientist and Research Assistant at the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR). Her academic research includes investigating the dietary and morphological traits of the parrotfish (Sparisoma cretense) in the Aegean Sea during her undergraduate studies, as well as the parasite fauna of the marbled electric ray (Torpedo marmorata) for her master’s thesis. Currently, she works on the National Fisheries Data Collection Project, conducting biological sampling and age estimation of Sardina pilchardus via otolith analysis, and participating in MEDITS field campaigns. Her broader expertise includes environmental monitoring, the study of invasive alien species, and the application of tools such as RStudio and QGIS.
