The aim of the project is to monitor, classify and assess the streams located in Messinia by using biological, hydromorphological and physicochemical criteria,as adopted at global and European level, and the development of a database for future management under the EU Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EE. The project is funded by the Regional Prefecture Unit of Messinia and the Municipalities of Messini, Kalamata, Oichalias and Trifylias, for the period 2010-2013.
