Gialamas Ioannis is a Chemical Engineer in Hellenic Centre for Marine Research in the Institute of Aquaculture and now in the Fisheries and Inland Water Institute. He was born in Athens in 1957 and graduated from the Aristotelian University of Salonica, Department of Chemical Engineers in 1988.
In 2001, he graduated from University of Athens, Department of Methodology of History & Theory of Science and in 2011, he obtained a degree from Harokopeio University of Athens, Master of science in Environmental Management.
Also, he has been working since 1992 in National Centre for Marine Research, at first in Oceanography Institute. He has been occupied with trace metals analysis and he has carried on since 1995 in Biological Resources Institute and Aquaculture Institute .
His field of interest also covers environmental management programs and problems of salinization in carst springs. The above is related with climate changes and water efficiency.
He has also participated as a teaching and training expert in environmental and aquaculture seminars in Secondary school pupils and visitors Students.
