Assessment for the ecological role, functioning and biodiversity values of rivers/streams that flow in Prespa Lakes
The project concerns the monitoring on a monthly and/or seasonal basis of physicochemical and hydromorphological parameters in rivers and streams of the basins of the Great and Small Prespa lakes as well as the installation and operation of automatic water monitoring stations in the above rivers and the evaluation of the respective measurements in combination with biological quality data to be provided by the Society for the Protection of Prespa.
HCMR will participate by providing technical and scientific advice regarding the evaluation of the above data and writing guidelines for optimal management of the relevant catchment area.
