On August 26th, 2022 HCMR Researcher Dr. S. Zogaris participated in conducting a seminar at the National University of Costa Rica – Department of Geographical Sciences (UNA-Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica). The day-long workshop-seminar related to the Methodology of Landscape Assessment Techniques – Challenges and Opportunities. 20 students and researchers participated; it was chaired by Professor Carlos Morera Beita. A questionnaire was applied to investigate the student’s perceptions of landscape conservation in Costa Rica. Prospects for future cooperation between UNA and Greece were discussed.
The seminar was conducted due to the University’s ongoing collaboration with members of HCMR and the ELLINIKI ETAIRIA – Society for the Environment and Cultural Heritage. In early 2022 a joint paper was published on the application of landscape assessment in Costa Rica* based on this collaboration.

Συνάντηση Εργασίας-Σεμινάριο για την Αξιολόγηση του Τοπίου στο Πανεπιστήμιο Universidad Nacional στην Κόστα Ρίκα
Στις 26 Αυγούστου 2022 o Ερευνητής του ΕΛΚΕΘΕ, Στ. Ζογκαρης συμμετείχε στη διεξαγωγή σεμιναρίου στο Εθνικό Πανεπιστήμιο της Κόστα Ρίκα – Τμήμα Γεωγραφικών Επιστημών (UNA-Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica) στην Heredia, Κόστα Ρίκα. To σεμινάριο αφορούσε στη Μεθοδολογία Τεχνικών Αξιολόγησης Τοπίου-Προκλήσεις και Ευκαιρίες. Συμμετείχαν 20 φοιτητές και ερευνητές. Συμπληρώθηκε ερωτηματολόγιο με σκοπό την έρευνα της αντίληψης των φοιτητών σε θέματα προστασίας του τοπίου στην Κόστα Ρίκα. Συζητήθηκαν προοπτικές μελλοντικής συνεργασίας μεταξύ Ελλάδας και Κόστα Ρίκα.
Έγινε παρουσίαση της συνεργασίας του Πανεπιστημίου με μέλη του ΕΛΚΕΘΕ και της Ελληνικής Εταιρείας στα θέματα τοπίου. Το 2022 δημοσιεύτηκε μια κοινή εργασία σχετικά με την εφαρμογή αξιολόγησης τοπίων στην Κόστα Ρίκα*.
